Un fort bel album regroupant vingt-deux titres de la période jazz de Bing Crosby, correspondant aux premières années de sa notoriété. Le Bing Crosby des années 1930, à la voix plus profonde et moins décontractée que par la suite, y est superbement accompagné par des musiciens de jazz de haut niveau et laisse souvent beaucoup de place à l’instrumental, pour des moments de pur plaisir. Déjà crooner (pour des titres comme les très beau « Did You Ever See a Dream Walking? »), Bing Crosby n’est pas encore le roi incontesté de l’entertainment américain, mais il se situe déjà très haut sur l’échelle musicale. ...
