Biographie de Iced Earth

Formé en 1984 par le guitariste Jon Schaffer à Tampa (Floride), Iced Earth a tardé à s'imposer. Le groupe débute sa discographie en 1990 avec Iced Earth mais doit attendre trois albums supplémentaires et The Dark Saga en 1996 pour vraiment attirer l'attention. Malgré les fréquents changements de personnel - personne ne tient plus de dix ans avec Jon Schaffer - Iced Earth atteint sa plénitude artistique et commerciale avec Horror Show (2001), The Glorious Burden (2004), et The Crucible of Man (2008). Le DVD et CD live Festivals of the Wicked en juin 2011 permet aux fans de patienter avant la sortie de Dystopia fin 2011.
