Quand un baroudeur des claviers (Greg Kurstin) rencontre une chanteuse et actrice shakespearienne (Inara George), ils décident de former un duo butinant avec élégance des ambiances feutrées entre électronique, jazz et bossa, The Bird and the Bee. Connus pour le titre « Again & Again » extrait d'un premier album sous influence bossa nova (The Bird and the Bee, 2007), ils reviennent début 2009 avec les vignettes légères de Ray Guns Are Not Just the Future.
