Après avoir régné sans partage sur hit-parades, émissions de télévision, et salles de concerts bondées, The Shadows voient donc débouler une horde hirsute, menée par The Beatles, et prête à les dévorer, eux, et le reste de la planète. Quelques semaines après le premier 45 tours des quatre de Liverpool, il ne s’agit déjà plus de rivalité, mais bien de survie.
